This Privacy Policy explains how PuppyVsCat (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit puppyvscat.com (the “Site”), including when you create a memorial, subscribe to our newsletter, or leave a message. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you create a memorial we collect your first name (optional), email address, your pet’s details, photo, and the story and messages you write. When you leave a condolence we collect your name, email, and message. When you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your email address.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we automatically receive standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited, and referring page. We use cookies and similar technologies for this (see below).
How we use your information
- To publish and display the memorials, candles, and messages you create.
- To send you the link to your memorial and the notifications you opted into (anniversary reminders, new candles/messages).
- To send our newsletter, if you subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email).
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site, and to prevent spam and abuse.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies & analytics
We use cookies to make the Site work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use our pages. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings.
Advertising
Some pages of the Site (excluding memorial and Rainbow Bridge pages, which are always ad-free) may display advertising through Google AdSense. The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
